MPD Districts Participate in Teddy Bear Drive

Milwaukee Police Department
Office of Media and Communications

With help from the community, Milwaukee Police are able to lend some warmth and comfort to those people with whom they come into contact with the gifts of warm knit hats and teddy bears. Recently we shared the generosity of Naomi Arenzon, a young girl who provided knit hats for officers to give to needy children during this cold weather.

Shielded Hearts - a group of Milwaukee Police Officers' spouses - are spearheading a teddy bear donation drive so officers may be able to share a teddy bear with those children who are experiencing a trauma that has brought the police to their door. Shielded Hearts will be collecting new or gently used teddy bears and other stuffed animals at all seven Milwaukee Police Districts throughout the month of December.
