Milwaukee Police Officer Assists in Rescue

Nov. 9 - Milwaukee Police were sent to a suicide attempt on the N. 35th Street viaduct about 10:15pm on November 7. Upon arrival Milwaukee Police Officer Steve Kuspa observed two citizens standing by a railing of the bridge. He came up to them and then observed them holding a third subject who was on the other side of the bridge trying to jump.

Officer Kuspa and two citizens then pulled him back over to the other side. He was held until a police conveyance vehicle arrived to take the subject to the hospital to be checked and then out to the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex. The subject's brother stated he was upset because of family troubles and wanted to end it all.
