Robbery Suspects Arrested in Victim’s Car

Nov. 5 - Two Milwaukee men have been charged for an October 26 armed robbery in which the victim’s car was taken. The suspects followed a 24-year-old Milwaukee man into a store in the 200 block of E. Center Street at about 9:30 p.m. The suspects asked the victim if he wanted to purchase drugs. The suspects surrounded the victim when he said he wasn’t interested and started to walk out of the store. One suspect then displayed a handgun hit the victim. The suspects took the victim’s keys and wallet and fled in the victim’s car.

Officers responded and determined that the car that was taken was equipped with OnStar. With the assistance of OnStar the officers were able to track the vehicle to the 3700 block of N. 9th Street. The officers arrested 19-year-old Devaries Hughes driving the car. Anthony Bradford, 22, was a passenger in the car and also arrested. Both were charged with Armed Robbery by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. A 20-year-old man was also in the car and arrested but has not yet been charged.
