MPD Catches Two Burglars in the Act

Jan. 4 - Milwaukee Police arrested two suspects as they were breaking into a garage on Milwaukee’s south side on January 4. Officers Nicholas Povolo and Dale Anders of the Neighborhood Task Force were patrolling an alley in the 2200 block of W. Mitchell Street when they saw a suspicious van near a garage. When the officers stopped to investigate they found the service door of the garage broken open and a pry bar in the snow. Two suspects, one in the van and one standing outside of the van, were arrested. The 32-year-old and 33-year-old suspects have extensive arrest records with the Milwaukee Police Department. They will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for possible charges.
