Filing a Complaint

One of the Fire and Police Commission’s goals is to ensure that members of the Milwaukee Fire and Police Departments carry out their duties in a professional and respectful manner.
 
If you believe you were treated unprofessionally by a member of the Milwaukee Fire or Police Department and wish to file a complaint, please call (414) 286-5000. Complaint forms can be mailed to you or you can click here to download the two-page complaint form. Print the form, fill it out, and return it to the address on the form. Be sure to keep a copy for your records!
 

You may also wish to read our Complaint Mediation, Complaint Intake, and Complaints Rule information. You can select and print these documents from the list at the left. If you have questions about filing your complaint, please call us at (414) 286-5000.

   Marquette Legal Clinic is available to assist in filing a complaint on
   TUESDAYS from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the House of Peace.
 
Spanish Center     614 W. National Avenue     (414) 384-3700
   Marquette Legal Clinic is available to assist in filing a complaint on
   WEDNESDAYS from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Spanish Center.
 
NAACP     2745 N. Martin Luther King Drive     (414) 562-1000
   The NAACP will have an attorney available to assist in filing a complaint
     on TUESDAYS from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the NAACP office.
