New Legislation

The following legislation was enacted by the Milwaukee Common Council, subject to final approval by the Mayor, at its most recent meeting of  July 30, 2008:

File 080034  establishes a $20 motor vehicle registration fee. 

File 080419  directs that an ordinance requiring businesses to provide a set number of paid sick leave days to their employees be sent to the voters on November 4th.

File 080011 and 080012  approve the sale of additional water to New Berlin.

File   080461   creates  an Alcohol Beverage Licensing Task Force to review how alcohol beverage license applications are scheduled and either granted or denied.

File 080195  creates standards to reduce the amount of rainwater runoff and to manage stormwater runoff.

File 080452 relates to dispensing single-service alcohol beverages on extended licenses premises for special events and the types of containers allowed.
