The flu season is upon us once again, and it's time to arm yourself with the best defense possible - a flu shot or flu mist immunization. The City of Milwaukee Health Department wants to help make it easy for you! We will be offering flu shot clinics throughout the season. (Children can get a FREE flu shot!) Does your child need help getting his or her shots updated in order to comply with school immunization requirements? The City of Milwaukee Health Department is holding free immunization clinics next Saturday October 11th from 10 am to 2 pm at two locations. Click here for more information.
The City of Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) is pleased to announce that Kawanza Newson has been named the new Health Communications Officer. Ms. Newson will serve as the public information officer and media liaison for the department.
In addition, the MHD is pleased to announce that Celestine (Tina) Grace has been named Community Health Services Officer. In her new role she will develop and manage relationships with community, business and health care organizations to support public health goals.
